Editorial Policy

This policy explains how MHF prepares, reviews, updates and corrects medical-tourism information while keeping facilitation separate from clinical advice.

Last reviewed: 27 August 2026

General working document: MHF should have this reviewed and adapted by qualified legal counsel for every jurisdiction in which the company operates.

1. Purpose

MHF publishes information to help patients prepare questions, organize records, understand care pathways and locate relevant hospital departments. Content must not direct a patient to self-diagnose or replace professional care.

2. Source hierarchy

Priority is given to official hospital and doctor directories, government and embassy pages, recognized public-health bodies, professional medical organizations and established patient-information resources. Commercial sources may be used for navigation research but should not be the sole basis for consequential medical claims.

3. Writing standards

Content should use plain language, distinguish general information from individualized advice, avoid guaranteed outcomes, identify uncertainty and explain when urgent local care is needed. English and French versions should carry equivalent meaning rather than literal word-for-word translation.

4. Doctor and hospital profiles

Profile facts are drawn from publicly available institutional listings where possible. Titles, affiliations, specialties and availability can change, so users should reconfirm directly with the hospital before making decisions. MHF labels unavailable official portraits rather than substituting an unrelated person.

5. Review and correction

High-impact pages should show a review date and reference sources. Content is reviewed when an institution changes its roster or service information, when a reliable correction is received, or during scheduled quality audits. Material corrections should be made promptly.

6. Commercial transparency

Payments, referral relationships or featured placement must not change clinical facts or justify unsupported claims. Estimates should identify their preliminary nature and explain major inclusions, exclusions and variables.

7. Feedback

Readers, clinicians and institutions may report an error through the MHF contact page. A correction request should identify the page, disputed statement and a reliable source supporting the change.
